Provided legal opinion to P&I Club regarding compensation risks, reviewed employment contracts and medical reports. Result: voluntary settlement with all family members signing R&R Statement; case closed with no legal consequences.
Vessel arrest and partial recovery (Port of Reni, 2024)
Initiated arrest of the liable vessel after a collision. Negotiated provision of club LOI from the opposing party and secured partial compensation. Result: vessel repaired, arrest lifted, case closed positively.
Complex family dispute over seafarer’s death (2023)
Represented shipowner in Ukrainian courts, including Supreme Court, against claims from ex-wife, civil partner, and relatives. Result: legal rejection of the claim, voluntary ex gratia payment to secure full R&R.
